Philosophy of Youth Bowl Canada– YBC hopes, through its efforts and the efforts of countless volunteers, to instill in all children a love for bowling not only as a sport but also as a form of social recreation that they and their families may take part in for the rest of their lives. Bowling in organized youth leagues provides a wonderful opportunity for young people of all ages to learn the values of sportsmanship and fair play. Bowling teaches the A-B-C’s of Physical Literacy(Agility, Balance and Co-ordination)and reinforces the values of sportsmanship. Bowling may be played alone, with a friend, with family or in competition with others of like ability…this makes it one of the top participation sports in Canada. The fact that bowling is a sport that everyone can participate in makes bowling the #1 social recreation in Canada.
